Ingredients:
¼ can (about 4 oz) refried beans (from a 16 oz can)
3 tablespoons taco sauce
10-12 round tortilla chips
Optional Toppings:
Chopped cilantro
Chopped onion
Chopped tomato
Sliced jalapeños
Salsa or hot sauce
Feta cheese
Guacamole or chopped avocado
Instructions:
Spread about 1 teaspoon of refried beans onto each tortilla chip.
Drizzle ½ teaspoon of taco sauce over each chip.
Line a microwave-safe plate with a paper towel and place the tostadas in a single layer.
Microwave on medium power (50%) for 1 to 3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. Rotate the plate quarter-turn after the first minute, then every 30 seconds to ensure even heating.
Remove from the microwave and top with your choice of cilantro, cheese, onion, tomato, jalapeños, salsa, or avocado.
